Located in Akumal, between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, Uxuxubi is a privately protected nature reserve where ecotourism directly supports the conservation of approximately 30,000 acres (12,000 hectares) of tropical forest. With nearly 275 bird species recorded, it has become one of the finest destinations for birdwatching in the Riviera Maya.
Unlike many popular nature attractions, Uxuxubi offers peaceful forest trails with very few visitors, allowing you to experience the sounds of the jungle and observe wildlife at a relaxed pace. This quiet atmosphere makes every encounter with birds even more memorable.
Our morning is spent exploring a variety of tropical forest habitats in search of many of the Yucatán Peninsula's most representative species. Depending on the season, we may encounter Ocellated Turkey, Lesson's and Turquoise-browed Motmots, Keel-billed Toucan, Collared Aracari, White-fronted and Yucatán Amazons, Black-headed, Gartered and Collared Trogons, woodcreepers, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, and many other forest specialists.
Beyond its exceptional birdlife, Uxuxubi is also an outstanding destination for observing butterflies, orchids, bromeliads, reptiles, and other wildlife that thrive within this healthy tropical ecosystem. Every visit contributes directly to the reserve's long-term conservation efforts.
Before returning to your hotel, we enjoy a delicious local breakfast, bringing to a close a peaceful morning surrounded by the remarkable biodiversity of the Riviera Maya.

Please note that in the event that there are no more people booked to join the tour,  you will be given the option to pay extra and do the tour in private.

Pick Up Time / Meeting time :

Please be aware that we will communicate your pick up time via a personalized email and it will vary from the automatic pick up time sent by the booking platform as we have to calculate it manually depending on your hotel/airbnb location, and it can also vary depending on Season.

Drop Off Time:

Please be aware that drop off time vary depending on hotel/villas locations and the rythm of each group.

Cancellation Policy:

Each tour should be booked by paying a deposit.

·        In case of cancellation more than 24 hrs before the pickup, we do not charge you any cost and will give you back your deposit.

·        In case of cancellation less than 24 hrs before the pick up or in case of no show we will charge you 100% of the total amount of your tour. Please understand that we have to pay all our providers and staff although you do not come.

Payments:

Credit card payments have a fee up to 7% depending on Credit Cards. We recommend bringing cash. 
Our prices are in USD. Please be aware that we work with a monthly based exchange rate for Payments in Pesos or Euros.
