Temazcal & Cenote

Temazcal is the ancient ritual of sweat lodge practiced by the native inhabitants of Mexico North America. It is a cleansing ceremony, designed to release tension, stress, negative emotions and toxins from the mind & body. Through the use of heat, steam infused herbs & our muscles relax, the pores of our skin open up and our mind is taken away from the usual patterns of thought that occupy it. The ceremony lasts roughly for 1h30 minutes, with a number of breaks to let out the excess heat and a rest to make sure everyone is comfortable.

There are numerous health benefits, particularly for the skin, circulatory system, respiratory system and immuno system. But Temazcal is also "good for the Soul", lifting a weight off the shoulders, leaving us feeling especially relaxed and lighter than usual, the sweat released also draining tension out of our bodies.


After the ceremony, we will visit a nearby cenote to wash off all the traces of sweat and tension to complete the relaxation process, the cool water feeling especially refreshing after the heat of the sweat lodge. We will also share delicious regional delicacies and fresh fruits.

A highly recommended therapeutic, relaxing & re-jeuvenating experience. 


TOUR PROGRAM :

    • 9 - 9:30 am: Pick up at your hotel

    • After arriving at the location where the temazcal takes place, we will receive an introduction of the activity 

    • Temazcal 

    • Lunch 

    • Swim in Cenote

    • 2 - 3pm : End of the Excursion, Drop off at your hotel

IMPORTANT TO KNOW : 

Pick Up Time:

Please be aware that we will communicate your pick up time via a personalized email and it will vary from the automatic pick up time sent by the booking platform as we have to calculate it manually depending on your hotel/airbnb location.


Drop Off Time:

Please be aware that drop off time vary depending on hotel/villas locations and the rhythm of each group.


Cancellation Policy:

Each tour should be booked by paying a deposit.

  • In case of cancellation more than 24 hrs before the pickup, we do not charge you any cost and will give you back your deposit.

  • In case of cancellation between 24 and 12 hrs before the pickup México Kan Tours will take your deposit in order to pay for the costs already made.

  • In case of cancellation less than 12 hrs before the pick up or in case of no show we will charge you 100% of the total amount of your tour.


Payments:

Credit card payments have a fee up to 7% depending on Credit Cards. We recommend bringing cash. 
Our prices are in USD. Please be aware that we work with a monthly based exchange rate for Payments in Pesos or Euros.
When you book your tour, you will receive a confirmation email with all the details.
